This declaration type is to account for the payment of duty and GST. The declaration type allows a mixture of dutiable and non-dutiable goods to be declared with at least one dutiable item declared.
A strategic goods permit (prefixed with either XO or XP) is required for the export, transhipment or transit of strategic goods and related technology. Note: The transport mode by which the goods first enter Singapore will determine the applicable period to remain in the FTZ(s).
The Strategic Goods Control List is listed in The Schedule to the Strategic Goods (Control) Order (SGCO), which includes items from the four multilateral export control regimes – Australia Group, Missile Technology Control Regime, Nuclear Suppliers Group and Wassenaar Arrangement. Goods and technology that meet the technical specifications described in the Strategic Goods Control List are subjected to control under the Strategic Goods (Control) Act.
